The Dixon Family
My name is Alex Dixon and my family and I are natives of Cookeville, TN where we spent all of our life before moving to Pittsburgh. I am married to Kayla and we have four daughters: Gracyn, Aleigha James, Tatum, and Mallie. I currently work for a steel construction company and am a student at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. Kayla is a stay-at-home mom and homeschools our daughters. Our favorite thing to do as a family is to watch movies together on Friday nights!
We were equipped as missionaries and sent to Pittsburgh from Stevens Street Baptist Church, in January 2021 to plant a church. We live in Shaler Township, about 15 minutes north of the city, and I am currently serving in a church planting residency at New Horizon Church here in Pittsburgh.
Our goal is to plant a church that continues in multiplication by being a church that plants other Gospel-centered churches until the north hills of Pittsburgh is saturated with healthy churches.
